Spiritual Upliftment is deepening our relationships with God. It is the development of growing up as a person. Our Holy Scriptures say that we are made for a higher calling in life rather than merely living for ourselves just attending to our physical needs and desires. We need to shift the focus of our existence from just gratifying and appeasing the desires of our bodies to awakening our natural love for God.
Most of us are beset with concern, unease, strain, stress and anxiety. Many prized and loved relationship have started to crumble and disintegrate. That is because we have become solely concerned with only ourselves. We have become self-centred and selfish. We have become egotistical in our relationships. Spiritual Upliftment is the panacea, the healing salve that will help set our priorities right. We must comprehend that we are not merely a body that needs to be clothed, housed and fed but that we are a Soul that needs to have a spiritual understanding and a living relationship with the Supreme Soul…..that is God.
Spiritual Upliftment or awakening does not necessarily mean that we go and meditate in the Himalayas or seek sanctuary in some cave or forest. We can connect with our spirituality and awaken to the lessons that are meant for us even as we go along with the daily routine of our daily lives.
Clear your mind of all mental clutter. Just as decluttering your physical space, your homes and your offices is important it is also important to declutter your mental space. Go out and sit under a tree. Listen to the music of the wind blowing through the trees, the chirping of the birds, the rustling of fallen leaves, the gurgle of flowing waters. There is energy and spirit and magic in the outdoors. Breathe the fresh air…meditate be one with God. Give yourself the calmness, serenity, solitude and tranquillity that comes with being outside. Feel God’s omnipresence, you may be surprised by what comes alive within you.
Analyse your beliefs. Ask yourself this simple question and answer it honestly. Is the life that you are leading curtailing your spiritual awakening? Maybe you are 24x7 workaholic obsessed with your career. You have been totally unaware that your time with God is as important, if not more and that you have been sleeping all this while and you did not even know it. We need to reverse the damage and wake you from your slumber. A stint with us at the School of Unlearning will infuse a fresh flow of new ideas and possibilities and wake you up to a life experience that you never even realized was possible.
